Filter magazine

GRL are in town (hurrah) and we celebrate with a welcoming event to coincide with the launch of ANAT’s ‘Filter’ magazine with its stencilled front cover (I bet that printer never works with us again).
Buffdiss makes artWhile Buffdiss adorned the Adelaide festival centre with his tape-graff, the rest of us drank, ate and schmoozed our way into welcoming new and old friends to the festival.

Marcus CanningMarcus Canning happened to be visiting from Perth, so Annemarie persuaded him to open the event with a bang (and a few “fabulous” and “dahlings”, at that).

Special mentions were made for this edition of Filter, namely: Guest Editor James Dodd, Managing Editor Amanda Matulick, Contributors Drew Hemment, Charity Bramwell, Ella Maudie, Caleb Neelon, Lachlan Tetlow Stuart, Evan Roth, James Powderly and Katherine Neil. Designers Chris Drabsch and Gianna Grbich from Daydream Design, Printers Jeff Smith from SmithImpress, and Ultimate Holding Company (UHC Collective) in Manchester for their images. Oh and of course the people who pay for all these lovely magazines to be made: the Australian Government through the Australia Council, the South Australian Government through Arts SA, and the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.

Phew.

And then it was time to have a few more drinks and network our little hearts out. I love a good party…
